6.Profile of the project: Avail of No.11 berth, land, yards,
warehouses of the Qinhuangdao Port to establish a distribution and
delivery service center of bulk fertilizer and conduct businesses
such as package of fertilizer, storage of bulk fertilizer, dealing in
fertilizer, bonding of goods. The special warehouse for fertilizer,
with an area of 48,000m2 and storage capacity of 240,000 tons, is
under construction. It will be leased to the center after completion.
The short-term packing capacity is 1 million tons annually, and
long-range packing capacity will be up to 2 million tons annually.

8. A brief introduction of Chinese party: Port of Qinhuangdao
was opened in 1989. It possesses many favorable conditions such
as broad harbor area, deep water, slight wind, moderate waves, ice-free,
silt-free and tempered climate. Port of Qinhuangdao is a well-known
frozen fine port in the northern part of China. It is the largest
outlet of coal and oil in the world as well as a comprehensive port
of foreign trade in China.
Port of Qinhuangdao is a large state-owned enterprise. The total
asset is up to RMB 9.8 billion Yuan. The rights and interests of the
proprietors are over RMB 6.7 billion Yuan. The port now owns 50
berths(29 operation berths and 21 non-operation berths). Among them
25 operation berths are over 10,000dwt. The maximum berth is up to
140,000dwt. The coastline of the port is 7,959m long. The total designed
handling capacity is 124 million tons. It handled 974 million tons in
2000. It is anticipated that the handling capacity will be over 100
million tons in 2001.
The main exporting and importing goods in the Port are coal,
crude oil, bulk cargo of rice, corn and soybean, timber, ore, fertilizer,
cement etc. The port of Qinhuangdao is the key port of developed
area in South China and East China, and the predominant trading
port in East China, Northeast China and the Economic Rim of Bohai Sea.
It has regular trade relationship with the main ports of more than100
countries and regions in the world.
The Port of Qinhuangdao has all kinds of transportation such
as by sea, by road and by pipe, and complete facilities of storehouses,
communication and service for ships.
